Do you want to learn what exactly social media is all about? This class will go over step-by-step basics for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Youtube. Common questions and insights on social media will be reviewed so that you’re up to date on the latest buzz words and topics. Come and learn to share, search and connect and leave social media savvy as ever! No prior experience required.
Digital Photos 101: Training for Seniors, The Lenox Center, St. Louis Park Thursday, Jan. 18 @1PM – 2 PM
Do you have digital photos just sitting on your tablet or smartphone device? We’ll explore how to save, edit and use your digital photos. Whether you need to add text to your digital photos, save them to a flash drive or upload them to social media we’ll walk through the various ways you use the photos. Learn how to utilize your pictures instead of having them sit for no one else to see!
Facebook 101: Training for Seniors, The Lenox Center, St. Louis Park Wed, Feb. 28 @1PM – 2 PM
Are you new to Facebook or just getting started? Learn how to use the popular social media site to safely connect with family and friends. You will leave this hands-on class with your own free Facebook account. We’ll also review the recommended privacy settings and you’ll leave this training with the knowledge on how to navigate confidently through the website. If you do have a pre-existing account, it’s recommended that you bring your username and password.
Facebook is one of the largest websites online today and is used by millions each day. With so many options to click on, users can feel overwhelmed on what to do next. Used at any age, facebook is increasingly popular with seniors since families and friends are spread throughout the world and it’s an easy way to stay in touch. The day of letters and phone calls only have been incorporated with facebook, just like an online scrapbook wherever you have an internet connection.
